When to use it: [Quand Claude doit l'utiliser]
1. Before writing
- If the official skill-creator skill is available, use it for the method (test cases, comparison with and without the skill).
- Read the official page https://code.claude.com/docs/en/skills to check the location, the header (frontmatter) fields and their exact spelling, instead of relying on your memory.
- Ask me your questions if a step, an example input or the expected output format is missing. If I have not given you an example of a good result, ask me for one.
2. Write the skill
- Location: `.claude/skills/[Le nom du skill (minuscules et tirets)]/SKILL.md` for this project only, `~/.claude/skills/[Le nom du skill (minuscules et tirets)]/SKILL.md` for all my projects.
- Header: `name`, and a `description` that first says what the skill does, then when to use it, with the words I actually use. If only I should invoke it, add `disable-model-invocation: true`. If only Claude should invoke it, add `user-invocable: false`. Add `allowed-tools` only if it is necessary, and explain why.
- Body: the goal in two lines, numbered steps, the exact output format, an example, and the mistakes to avoid. Fewer than 500 lines: long material (templates, lists, references) goes in files next to SKILL.md, referenced from the skill.
- If a step is mechanical (converting, counting, checking a format), write a small script in the skill folder rather than a long explanation.
- Everything the skill produces for a person to read is in French, with French typography.
3. Try it
- Run the skill on a real case (with `/[Le nom du skill (minuscules et tirets)]`, or with a sentence that should trigger it) and show me the result.
- Check that an unrelated request does not trigger it.
- If the result is not good, fix the description or the steps, then try again.
Done when the skill folder exists, its header follows the official documentation, a real test gave the right result, and you show me the folder tree and the content of SKILL.md. Talk to me in French.
